Juan Carlos BenitezSponsor | Born in Puerto Rico, Juan Carlos Benitez holds a bachelor of arts in judicial systems from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon (Sacred Heart University) in Santurce and a juris doctor from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Law in Hato Rey. While working toward his law degree, Juan Carlos Benitez served as the president of the Inter-American student body, the editor of the Inter-American Law Review, and the president of the Munoz Chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. He graduated from the university with cum laude distinction.Building on a career that includes tenures with multiple law firms and government agencies in Puerto Rico and the United States, Mr. Benitez has served as president of the Washington Pacific Economic Development Group since 2003. This organization, based in Hagatna, Guam, focuses on finding federal funding for business development and relocation.
